All orders to be placed by Thursday of each week for delivery the following Wednesday please.

Elaine’s Kitchen can offer the following freezer meals for the period of March 2020, we will update this page regularly depending on suppliers.

Fruity Moroccan Lamb - local lean lamb casseroled with apricots, raisins, cumin, coriander and thyme – delicious served with saffron rice or roasted vegetable couscous (GF) = £7.00/head

Lasagne – delicious Italian classic = £6.00/head

Bolognese Sauce – a delicious beef and tomato sauce £5.00/head

Mendip Beef and Ale Casserole - cooked with mushrooms and smoky bacon = £6.50/head

Moussaka – a Greek dish with layered cinnamon spiced lamb, aubergine, potatoes and a creamy white sauce = £6.00/head

Shepherd’s Pie – a classic family favourite! = £6.00/head

Steak and Kidney Pie - baked with Guinness and mushrooms and topped with crisp golden flaky pastry = £6.50/head

Vegetarian Shepherd’s Pie with Goat’s Cheese Mash - absolutely lovely! This you have to try! (GF) V = £6.00/head

Moroccan Tagine – a spicy vegetarian hotpot made with root vegetables and dried fruit with a spicy chermoula paste topped with freshly chopped mint (GF) V = £6.00/head

My Favourite Vegetarian Curry – a Cape Malay recipe! (GF) V = £6.00/head

Roasted Vegetable Lasagne – Homemade pasta sheets layered with a tomato ragout and ricotta and mozzarella cheeses, finished with a white wine sauce- you’ll never guess there is no meat! V = £6.00/head

Aubergine Parmigiano - grilled thinly sliced aubergines layered with fresh homemade tomato sauce, and mozzarella and topped with crispy breadcrumbs and Parmesan. Delicious! V = £6.50/head

We will be taking all precautions to clean our premises on a regular basis, wearing gloves to prepare and deliver the food.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

Elaine’s Kitchen is dedicated to providing our clients and staff with a healthy working environment. We regularly carry out deep cleaning regimes but with the developing situation with COVID-19 we will be even more vigorous .

We are hoping to work with local suppliers for anyone who would like to order freezer foods, soups, bread etc. We can deliver to your doorstep or safe place. Our website and Facebook will be updated soon as we have more information.

Elaine's Kitchen

We are an event catering company catering for events of all shapes and sizes, based in Blagdon, North Somerset. Elaine’s Kitchen has been running since 2000 with Elaine as founder. Now with the assistance of Elaine’s two daughters, Catherine and Rebecca, making this a real family business, Elaine’s Kitchen is busier than ever before.

Everyone here at Elaine’s Kitchen loves what they do and this really does show in the superb quality of food and service provided to each and every event that we have done over the years.

Based in the South West of England, we are very lucky with the great produce available to us. We pride ourselves in using local produce and suppliers when possible, showcasing the best of seasonal food available.

Meet the team

Elaine - Executive Head Chef

Elaine Gliddon Elaine is the original founder, a director and head chef of the business. Elaine has been cooking from a very young age and, growing up in Cornwall, it was no surprise that Cornish pasties were one of her first cooking experiences. Elaine’s Kitchen started in South Africa, where she spent her early married life and it was as much a success back then as it is now. Elaine has always been an excellent teacher and has taught all her three children how to cook as well as the public through her past cookery courses.

Catherine - Catering Manager

Catherine Gliddon Catherine has definitely learnt everything she knows from her mum and is every bit as gifted. Now after starting her own family and business, she is passing on her talents to her two young boys. Having worked with Elaine’s Kitchen for several years, Catherine has joined as a director and Catering Manager of Elaine’s Kitchen.

Becca - Managing Director

Rebecca Gliddon Becca is the youngest director of Elaine’s Kitchen and she is also the bossiest! She has managed the company into the thriving business it is today. Becca is also a versatile young chef but her speciality is baking! She is known as ‘Queen of cakes’ and is always baking up a storm in the Old Bell Kitchen.
